Weds 15^th October 8 pm Quiz Night with questions set by Andrew Moss. No prizes just the fun of taking part

Friday 24^th October 8 pm Outdoor Astronomy evening with James Abbott Meet at the concrete hardstanding by the sharp bend in the Rivenhall/Silver End road (TL822187).Bring binoculars and torch. Wear appropriate outdoor clothing
Weds 19^th November 8 pm Amazonia - an illustrated talk by Roy and Eileen Fierheller on their recent travels in the Amazon basin
Weds17^th December 7.30 for 8 pm Winter Social at Fiddlesticks, 44 Strawberry Lane, Tolleshunt Knights CO5 0RX bring something to eat or drink to contribute to a communal buffet.
Weds 21^st January 2015 8 pm “Man & Metals Through the Ages” by Andrew Moss. A history of mankind’s discovery and use of metals and metal alloys.

Weds 18^th February 2015 8 pm “Sailing South – With a Difference” Jen Litherland recounts her experiences travelling to Antarctica.
Fri 13^th March 2015 7.30 pm Outdoor Astronomy evening with James Abbott. Meet at the concrete hardstanding by the sharp bend in the Rivenhall/Silver End road (TL822187). I have brought it forward a bit from the usual time in March to avoid the Moon but also to catch comet Lovejoy which should still be a binocular object then; also Jupiter and the chance to see Venus in a dark sky. All are welcome - wrap up warm and bring binoculars or even a telescope if you have one. Oh, and hope for a clear evening...
Weds 18^th March 2015 8 pm A visit to Ben Fisher, prominent local entomologist/naturalist who has a very interesting collection of natural history objects. Meet at Grange Hill, Coggeshall at 8pm.
Wednesday 22^nd April 19.15 Cowslip Survey. Meet in the parking area at the bottom of the track to Tarecroft Wood (TL824171).
