End to End Nature Care

Programme of Winter Evening Meetings 2011/12

POSTPONED Nest box, bat box, insect hibernaculum building session at 8pm, Stoverns Hall Farm, Rickstones Road, Rivenhall. All materials provided. It is useful if you can bring tools (drill, saw, hammer, etc).
20^th October 2011 Outdoor astronomy evening with James Abbott. Meet at 8pm at the concrete hardstanding by the sharp bend in the Rivenhall/Silver End road (TL822187). Bring binoculars and torch. Wear appropriate outdoor clothing.
15^th November 2011 Photography evening. All are invited to bring photographs (ideally on disk or memory stick for showing on the projector) and to give a short presentation of them for all.
6^th December 2011 Winter Social at Fiddlesticks, 44 Strawberry Lane, Tolleshunt Knights CO5 0RX. 7:30pm for 8pm. All very welcome. Bring nibbles or drink if you like. The evening will include a short committee meeting.
17^th January 2012 Natural History quiz night. Not a competitive quiz but just for fun and interest.
WED 22^nd February 2012 Green Woodworking demonstration with Arthur Marshall. 8pm at Stoverns Hall Farm, Rickstones Road, Rivenhall. NOTE CHANGE OF DAY
Friday 16^thMarch 2012 Outdoor astronomy evening with James Abbott. There is a close conjunction between Venus and Jupiter to start the evening and then both Saturn and Mars will be visible later rising in the east. Meet at 8pm at the concrete hardstanding by the sharp bend in the Rivenhall/Silver End road (TL822187). Bring binoculars and torch. Wear appropriate outdoor clothing.
20^th March 2012 “Essex Islands” illustrated talk by John Macrae.

Unless otherwise stated, meetings are at 8pm at Rivenhall Village Hall.
Cost: Ł2.00 at the door, includes tea/coffee and biscuits.
